IUSSTF Fellowship Program

This program provides an opportunity to Indian students to undertake a research internship at the Viterbi School of Engineering. Indian students currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree at recognized institutions of higher education in India in teh field of Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences and Computational Sciences. The Scholarship includes Stipend and Airfare. 

Period of fellowship : 8 weeks

Selection Process
  • Singup at the given link using email id and password and prepare a "Statement of Purpose" and "Research Experience" for filling up in the application form.  
  • Also, Ensure you have a passport or you can select "Applied for Passport" in the application, and prepare a reference letter/recommendation letter from your college teacher. 
  • The recommendation letter need to be on the official letter head of the referee with with ink signature and stamp (if any).

DRDO Research associate and Junior Research Fellow 

This opportunity is from INMAS Lab of DRDO. The Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), a specialized laboratory under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), is dedicated to advancing the readiness, preparedness, and strategic resilience of the armed forces against radiological threats.
It is offering a Walk in interview opportunity for 7 posts of Research associate and and 11 post of Junior Research fellow. 
The date of interview is 02 -04 December 2024 for Research associate and 09-13 December 2024 for Junior Reserach Fellow.

Tenure: Max, 2 years for Research associate and 5 years for Junior Research Fellow.

Selection Process

For Research Associate:

  • Maximum of 35 years for RA post as on the closing date of receipt of applications. 5 years’ relaxation to SC/ST candidates, 3 years to OBC candidates, and other entitled categories as per Indian govt. rules.
  • Only those candidates who have been awarded Degree/Provisional Degree certificate are eligible to apply.

  • First Class Msc in  Chemistry/ Nanotechnology/Chemical Sciences/Life Science/Biomedical Sciences/ComputationalChemistry/Biotechnology/MaterialSciences/Pharmaceutics/ Pharmacology/Biotechnology.
  • For some JRF positiions, First Class B.Tech in n Biomedical Engineering /Radiological/ Medical/ Engineering Physics/Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Biomedical Science.
  • For some positions First Class M.E./M.Tech in Life Science/ Biotechnology/ Biomedical Sciences and is exempted from GATE/NET Scores as per guidelines.

BioCARe Programme is for the women researchers. The programme is targeted to enhance the participation of women researchers for their Career Development in the area of Biotechnology and is open to Indian Nationals. This programme is only open to Women Candidates

Period  of Fellowship: Maximum three years

Selection Process

  • Submit the online application through Common Fellowship Portal of Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India (https://fellowships.gov.in).
  • The Terms & Conditions of the BioCARe programme are available at Department of Biotechnology website (https://dbtindia.gov.in) will be applied. 

 
Eligibility: 

  • Women researchers who have completed Ph.D. in any discipline of Biotechnology/Life Sciences or allied areas/interdisciplinary sciences/MD/MDS/ M.V.Sc. 
  • Category-II: Women researchers who have completed M.Tech. in Biotechnology or in allied areas/M.Pharma/equivalent Degree holders. 
  • Candidates who are registered or enrolled in higher studies/Ph.D and/or receiving any fellowships are not eligible to apply. 
  • The research support will be provided only to women researcher (unemployed/not in regular position) for whom this is the first extramural research grant (Women researchers who have received any earlier grant from any Government Funding Agency as Principal Investigator are not eligible).
