DRDO, Tezpur, Assam is pleased to invite participants to the upcoming National Conference on “Technologies for mitigation of disease vector and other jungle hazards” being organized by Defence Research Laboratory (DRL), DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Govt. Of India, Tezpur. 

The conference will try to assimilate traditional practice and knowledge along with modern day technologies on how to overcome these basic jungle hazards particularly from armed forces application perspective.

Conference Date: 15-16 Octobe 2025

What to submit

Research Paper/Poster's Abstract on Theme "Technologies for mitigation of disease vector and other jungle hazards”

Sub Themes: 

  • Epidemiology & management of Vector & Vector-borne diseases 
  • Novel drugs, repellents and diagnostics for management of vector-borne diseases 
  • Bioprospecting natural flora and fauna for defence application 
  • Advanced technologies for survival and sustenance in jungle terrain

How to Submit:

  • Candidate need to fill the application form (Pg.6, Official notification) and send it to ncdrl2025@gmail.com along with Abstract.
  • Candidate should declare in the form category (theme) under which  abstract is to be presented should be mentioned.
  • The preference for presentation (Oral or Poster) should also be clearly mentioned. 

Guidelines for preparing abstract

  • The presenting author’s name should in bold or underlined. 
  • The abstract should contain:
    • the objective of the study
    • materials and methods
    • results and conclusion. 
  • The abstract should be limited to 250 words and should be in the format as below: 
    • Title: MS Word, Arial font (size 16 points) in single spacing 
    • Author(s): MS Word, Arial font (size 14 points) in single spacing 
    • Affiliation: MS Word, Arial font (size 12 points) in single spacing 
    • Abstract: MS Word, Arial font (size 12 points) in single spacing

How to reach

  • Train: The closest major railway head is the Rangapara North Railway Station which is 25 km from Tezpur.
  • Flight: The nearest airport to Tezpur are Itanagar Airport and Guwahati Airport which are approx. 2.5 hrs and 4 hrs respectively from Tezpur by road.
  • Road: By road, Tezpur is 180 Km from Guwahati which is approximately 4 hours of road distance
