Internship opportunity for UG and PG Engineering studentsat DRDO - Stipend of ₹5000 per month

Vehicle Research and Development Organization (VRDE) under the aegis of DRDO is engaged in Research & Development in the area of light tracked, wheeled vehicles. VRDE is also committed to design and develop advanced and reliable indigenous solutions in the areas of Mobility systems, Wheeled & Light Tracked combat Systems, ground support Systems for Strategic & Tactical Programmes.

Eligbility

  • Students of either: 
    • 7th Semester
    • 8th Semester
    • 1st year of post graduation 
    • 2nd year of post graduation
  • Students which are of either stream/branch:
    • Electrical Engineering (EE)
    • Electrical & Power Engineering (EE)
    • Mechanical Engineering (ME)
    • Armament Engineering (ME)
    • Defense Technology (ME)
    • Production Engineering (ME)
    • Automobile Engineering (AU)
  • Student should have minimum 7 CGPA or above  continuously maintained in all previous semesters.

How to apply

  • Candidate need to send application by speed post with "Application for Paid Internship" & "Branch Code Number" mentioned on envelop with following:
    • Brief Bio-data <300 Words.
    • Reference Letter on college letterhead (Pg.5,6)
    • Application form (Pg.4)
    • UG / PG Marksheet Reflecting CGPA
    • Copy of latest Aadhar Card 
    • Recent Photograph (To be pasted)
  • Scanned Copy of student document along with application form is also to be sent through e-mail on  KapilPuraswani.vrde@gov.in

Tenure of Internship: 6 Months (From 1 Sep 2025)

Selection Process

  • Shortlisted students will only be notified about the joining procedures and regarding undertaking forms and indemnity bond to be filled by them and by the head of the institution. 
  • Candidates will be notified till 28 Aug 2025
  • Stipend will be paid in bank account of the student after completion of three months and six month respectively. of internship. (Rs 15000/- each).
  • Selected students will have to submit the following documents at the time of joining
    •  No Objection Certicate (NOC) from college authorities (in original) on college letterhead mentioning that the student will be relieved for internship training at VRDE and that the student will be present for a minimum of 15 working days in a month for training.
    • Police verification from local police station. Acknowlegement received from Police station to be submitted at the time of joining (if selected). 
    • Undertaking for adherence to Indian official secrets Act,1923.
    • Undertaking that interns will follow IT rules and regulations applicable for Ministry of Defence and its amendments thereof.
    • Selected students need to provide the bank details for transfer of internship amount.
    • At the time of joining, student is required to bring the Aadhar card (in Original) along with college ID card for verification. They should also submit 03 nos. passport size photographs at the time of joining. All previous semesters marks sheet in original for verification should be brought.
    • Original documents will be returned immediately after verification.
    • Any other documents if required, will be communicated to the student at the time of selection / joining.
