10 vacany for research associate fellowship for Phd candidates to complete their Phd thesis at BARC

 

A total of 10 vacancies for different research projects are called upon by Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai to be awarded. The Fellows recruited will have the opportunity to carry out research under various R&D projects of BARC under the guidance of senior scientists. A candidate can apply for more than 1 post to ensure their selection, however, candidates should apply separately for each research project with a separate set of documents.

Eligibility 

Phd in any one of the following:

  • Quantum Computing; or Metal-Insulator thin films/Interfaces; or Microwave Electronics.
  • Physics in areas related to accelerator development or Experimental Nuclear Physics
  • Physics in areas related to experimental nuclear or particle physics
  • Experimental nuclear physics.
  • Chemistry
Scholars who have submitted Ph.D. thesis and are awaiting evaluation of thesis are not eligible to apply.

How to apply

  • Download application form  from the official notification (Page 5,6,7) and fill the research topic along with other necessary details.
  • Also send along with application complete bio-data, one set of photocopies of mark-sheets, degree certificates (from SSC to Ph.D.), other academic credentials and work experience.
  • Send the application to the "Deputy Establishment Officer, Recruitment-V, Central Complex, BARC, Trombay, Mumbai–400085" superscribing the Research Project No.(mentioned in official notification) on the envelope.
  • Once selected, candidate will have to appear for interview and have to bring a copy of the Application and a valid photo identity card (such as AADHAR Card, Passport, Driving License, College ID, Voter ID) and all the documents in original at the time of interview.

Selection Process

  • Duly filled application send by post to the address given will be considered and no email application will be considered.
  • Quality of Ph.D. thesis, Post-Ph.D. research experience as evidenced from the quality of the publications and/or products/processes designed and developed and performance in the selection interview will be a determinent in Final result.

Tenure of Fellowship: 3 years or as described in offiicial notification 

Stipend: ₹58000 - ₹67000 Per month along with contigency grant of 60000 per annum plus HRA.
