JRF position at DIBER, DRDO

DIBER provides excellent opportunity to young and motivated researchers to pursue career in the branches of Science and Engineering viz., Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Electronics streams and chemical engineering with state of art research facilities for undertaking research in challenging areas. Applications are invited from young and motivated candidates with desired qualification for 3 posts of Junior Research Fellows to work in ongoing and future research projects at DIBER (DRDO).

Tenure of fellowship : 2 years with possibility of extension for 2 years

Eligibility

  • Age:  28 years (General), 31 years (OBC), 33 years (SC/ST)
  • Valid GATE Scorecard with 1st division for graduate candidates.
  • 1st division in graduate and post graduate degree for PG candidates.

JRF-Electrical Engineering

Either one of the following: 

  • Graduate degree in any one of the following :
    • Electrical Engineering 
    • Electronics & Electrical Communications Engineering
    • Electrical with communication Engineering 
    • Electrical Power system Engineering 
    • Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineering
    • Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering
    • Electrical Instrumentation & Control Engineering
    • Power Engineering
  • Post Graduate in Electrical Engineering (ME/M.Tech)

For JRF-Chemistry

Post Graduate degree in Chemistry 

Desirable qualifications

For JRF- Physics, industrial exposure on either 

  • Field Portable and Hybrid Energy Systems
  • Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) from Camelina
  • Military Micro Grids, Combined Heat and Power Systems (CHP) for high altitude and Cold regions
  • High altitude waste disposal system etc for supporting armed forces in cold/extreme cold and High-altitude areas. 

For JRF-Chemistry

Previous research experience of one or more in relevant field

  • Candidates have to download the application form from official notification (page 2) and fill it duly and send it with supporting document via either :

    • Online mode : Send email to hrd.hsm@gov.in 
  • Candidates are to produce original certificates / testimonials at the time of interview. 
  • Candidates are required to produce copy of published research papers & thesis also at time of interview.
  •  One photocopy set of all documents with application must be carry during the interview.
  • Candidates presently employed in Government Department/ PSU’s/ Autonomous Bodies should send their application through proper channel and are required to produce NOC from their employer at the time of interview.

Selection Process

  • The selected candidates will be called for interview and have to report at 9:00 AM on 17-01-2025 at DIBER (DRDO) Haldwani.
  • Candidate have to bring to interview the following documents:
    • Original certificates, marksheets and testinomials.
    • Copy of published research paper and thesis 
    • One photocopy set of all documents
    • NOC for candidates working in Government department/PSU's/Autonomous bodies

Perks of the fellowship 

  • Salary of ₹37,000/- 
  • House Rent Allowance as per rules of DRDO.
  • No TA/DA shall be paid for attending interview or for joining.
