Juniour Research fellow at DIAT - Salary upto ₹50,000/- Per month - No Gate exam required

JRF at DIAT, Pune

The Department of Applied Physics of Defence Institute of Advance technology, Pune Institute is looking for young Scientists/Engineers for the position of ‘Junior Research Fellow (JRF)’ to work under Govt. of India sponsored research project entitled “Investigation of Laser-Assisted Photoacoustic Wave Generation for Underwater Communication”. There is one vacancy for the post. 

Eligibility

  • M.E/M.tech in any of the following:
    • Electronics Engineering 
    • Electronics & Communication Engineering
    • Electronics Science
    • Laser & Electro-optics
    • Laser technology
    • Applied optics
    • Photonics
    • Opto-Electronics and Optimal Communication 
    • Instrumentation Engineering
    • Equivalent degree to any of the field.
  • Candidates with any national fellowship can also apply.
  • The qualification prescribed/ experience gained should have been obtained from recognised Universities / Institutions/Industries.  
  • Mention all the experience and educational qualification in the application form as selection for interview is highly competitive and might only few candidates be called for interview.

Desirable Skills (any one):

  • FPGA Programming
  • DSP with FPGA
  • Communication with FPGA
  • Optical system designing using software tools
  • Hands on experience in working with optics or communication system.
Tenure: 2 years or Co-terminus with project (whichever is earlier)

Selection Process

  • Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of the application send and then be called for interview either for offline mode or online mode (video interview).
  • Candidates must bring their original applications with all necessary educational and other supporting documents, project reports, publications, etc., to the interview.
  • The selected candidate is required to join duty immediately upon receipt of the offer letter.  

Perks and Salary 

  • Salary of ₹37,000/- + 30% House Rent Allowance
  • Medical facilities limited to MI Room facilities shall be extended to the incumbent. 
  • Selected Fellows may be sent to a Ministry of Earth Science Laboratories/ for Sea/Dam trials during the execution of the said research project.
  • Recruited Fellows shall be encouraged to register for a Ph.D. at this institute through proper channels as per DIAT norms.
