Yale University Press offers competitive paid internship opportunities to learn about publishing in various business areas. By participating in the internship program, students observe the inner workings of a major university press and successful business. The value of this internship is to gain experience and to show a potential employer your skills and abilities to obtain future employment.
Eligibility
Either one of the following:
- Undergraduate students
- Graduate students
- Students who graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program within past 18 months.
Tenure of fellowship: June 2 to August 2025
How to apply
- Candidate need to choose one department from the list given below and according to skills and interest they posses.
- Then, Candidate can access application through direct apply link
- Applications will be accepted only in the form of Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF formatting. Each application must include a Cover Letter and Résumé.
- While applying, applicants must indicate to which department they are applying both in the submission form and in the cover letter.
- A seperate cover letter must be submitted for each department applied to.
- Yale University Press does NOT sponsor work visas; and will not provide any supporting documentation for existing visas including offer letters for Curricular Practical Training.

- Prepare images for upload to site, creating conversion instructions, checking newly converted books for scanning errors, updating ebook metadeta, and prepare shipments of books to freelance taaggers and proofreaders

Manuscript Editorial | - Keen eye anad attention to detail in a short written exercise

- Learn to liaise with media contacts, assist in the production of promotional materials, track media coverage, and send materials, both digital and print, to media contacts across North Amaerica
- Work on long-term projects, such as compiling the annual holiday gift book catalog and reasearching media outlets and opprtunities for select dall titles

Sales Department | - Interest in book publishing, marketing or business
| - Generating a variety of sales and inventory report for analysis; outreach and support for books sales at author; support sales reps and other projects as they rise

Selection Process
- Selection candidates will be notified after 3 March 2025
- If a candidate do not receive an offer by 3April 2025, then they have not been selected as a candidate for the current year
- The selected candidate will commit to the full 10 weeks and have to spend 30 hours a week.
