SRIP 2025 by IIT Gandhinagar

IIT Gandhinagar, Ahemadabad, Gujratbrings Summer Research Internship Program for students. The flagship program strives to bring the motivated students from prominent institutions across the country right here on our campus. It will allow undergraduate and master students to participate in the cutting edge research projects; they undergo mentorship by IITGN faculty and get exposure to the state of the art laboratories and instrumentation facilities available on campus.

Eligibility

  • Either: 
    • Indian Student studying in India
    • International Student studying in India
    • Indian student studying in Abroad
  • Students of IIT Gandhinagar could also apply.
  • Students who are either: 
    • Bachelors' student
    • Master's student
Tenure: 8 Weeks (May 5 to July 15)

How to apply

  • Candiadate need to choose a project from the project list and apply on it directly.
  • Candidate may apply for internship based on their interests and prior experience. They are free to apply for projects outside of their declared degree specializations.
  • Candidate can apply for more than one project, however for each project a new application has to be made.
  • If candidate gave incorrect data during registration, they can reapply with correct data.
  • Candidates need to apply through portal only and no email contact regarding the same should be made to the faculty.
  • You may write what are your research interests, why do want to intern at IITGN; and how you will be able to contribute to the particular research project based on your previous exposure /training during your undergraduate programme in your STATEMENT OF PURPOSE (SOP).

Selection Process

  • Candidate’s overall profile is reviewed including academic background, performance, research interests, alignment with proposed projects and prior experience if any for selection.
  • Emails will be sent to the selected interns by the end of March and result will also be made on portal link.
  • The student will be required to submit a research proposal one week after arriving at IITGN, so any  early work on preferred project may be very helpful.
  • Poster Presentation is mandatory only for students of IIT Gandhinagar.

  • Certificate on sucessful completion of internship.
  • Stipend : ₹2000/- per week
  • Best intern will get the Bhalodia-Khetan Summer Research Excellence Award of ₹50,000/-
