Internship at DRDO, hyedrabad

Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory (DMRL), Hyderabad is one of the premier laboratories of DRDO and invites application from students of Indian Nationality for pursuing internship. 

Eliligibility

  • Maximum Age limit: 28 years (as on 25 July 2025)
  • Full Time Final year Students of either subjects: 
    • Metallurgical Engineering (MT)
    • Material Science Engineering (MT)
    • Mechanical Engineering (ME)
    • Physics (PH)
    • Chemistry (CH)
  • Either:
    • UG with Minimum 6.0 CGPA on 10 Scale in all previous semester 
    • PG in Engineering/Science with 60% Marks in 1st year exam.

How to apply

  • Candidate need to apply by sending email to hrd.dmrl@gov.in with email subject "Application for paid internship, 2025, DMRL Hyedrabad (BRANCH CODE NO. )" with following documents
    • Filled application form as per the attached format (Pg. 5, Official notification)
    • Copy of the marksheets of last semesters/year 
    • Copy of Aadhar Card 
    • Reference / Request letter from college (on College Letter head) for Paid Internship as per attached format (Pg. 6, 7 Official notification)
    • Brief Bio-data in less than 300 words highlighting achievements
Tenure of Fellowship: 6 Months (from 1 Aug 2025)

Selection Process

  • Selection will be made from the applied candidates based on merit or online / offline interview or interaction as required
  • Selected Candidates will be notified from 28 July through email only
  • Selected Candidates will have to submit the following documents:
    • Reference / Request letter from college (on College Letter head) for Paid Internship as per attached format  (ORIGINAL)
    • Bonafide Certificate from College (ORIGINAL)
    • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from college authorities (in original) on college letterhead mentioning that student will be relieved for internship at DMRL and students shall be present ensuring maximum attendance 
    • Police verification from Hometown/place of resident. Acknowledgement of police verification application can be submitted at time of joining. Police Verification Certificate to be submitted within two weeks of joining. 
    • Undertaking for adherence to Indian Officials Secrets Act, 1923 (Pg.8, Official notificaiton)
    • Undertaking that interns will follow IT Rules and Regulations applicable to Ministry of Defence and its amendments thereof.
    • Bring Original Aadhar Card along with Student ID for verification purpose.
    • 03 Passport Size Color Photographs of candidate
    • All previous semester marksheet (Original)
    • Any other documents as intimidated.
