Vehicle Research and Development Organization (VRDE), Ahmednagar, Maharastra under the aegis of DRDO is engaged in Research & Development in the area of light tracked, wheeled vehicles. VRDE is also committed to design and develop advanced and reliable indigenous solutions in the areas of Mobility systems, Wheeled & Light Tracked combat Systems, Wheeled Launched Systems for Strategic & Tactical Programmes

  • Maximum Age limit: 28 years
  • Full Time Students of either one of the subjects: 
    • Electrical Engineering (EE)
    • Electrical & Power Engineering (EE)
    • Electronics Engineering (ECE & IN)
    • Electronic & Communication Engineering (ECE & IN)
    • Electronic & Instrumentation (ECE & IN)
    • Control Engineering(ECE & IN)
    • Instrumentation & Telemetary (ECE & IN)
    • Automation & Control (ECE & IN)
    • Embedded System (ECE & IN)
    • Antenna Systems & Electromagnetics (ECE & IN)
    • Mechanical Engineering (ME)
    • Armament Engineering (ME)
    • Defense Technology (ME)
    • Production Engineering (ME)
    • Automobile Engineering (AE)
    • AI & ML (AI & DS)
    • Data Science (AI & DS)
    • System Engineering (AI & DS)
    • Computer Engineering (CS)
    • Information Engineering (CS)
  • Full Time Students who are either in :
    • UG Program 7th Semester
    • UG Program 8th Semester
    • PG (MTech) students of 1st year
    • PG (MTech) students of 2nd year 
  • Candidate having score of 8.5 on 10 CGPA Scale on all previous marksheet (completed with first class distinction)

How to apply

  • Candidate need to send application through speed post to the address (On Envelope, "Application for Paid Internship_Branch Code No.") as well as soft copy via email (Subject "Application for Paid Internship_Branch Code No.") to KapilPuraswani.vrde@gov.in with following documents:
    • Application form (pg.4, Official notification)
    • Request Letter (On College Letter head) signed by Principal/HOD (pg.5,6, Official notification)
    • Brief Biodata in maximum 300 words
    • Marksheets photocopy(for mail)/softcopy(for email)

Tenure of internship: 6 Months (from 1 Aug  2025)

Selection Process

  • Selected candidates will be notified till 28 July 2025.
  • Selected Candidates will have to submit the following documents at time of joining: 
    • No Objection Certicate (NOC) from college authorities (in original) on college letterhead mentioning that the student will be relieved for internship training at VRDE and that the student will be present for a minimum of 15 working days in a month for training.
    • Police verification from local police station. 
    • Acknowlegement received from Police station to be submitted at the time of joining.
    • Undertaking for adherence to Indian official secrets Act,1923.
    • Undertaking that interns will follow IT rules and regulations applicable for Ministry of Defence and its amendments thereof.
    • Selected students need to provide the bank details for transfer of internship amount.
    • Medical fitness certificate from authorisied medical practitioners holding atleast an MBBS degree.
    • At the time of joining, student is required to bring the Aadhar card (in Original) along with college ID card for verification.
    • 03 nos. passport size photographs at the time of joining.
    • All previous semesters marks sheet in original for verification should be brought.
    • Original documents will be returned immediately after verification.
    • Any other documents if required, will be communicated to the student at the time of selection / joining.

  • Stipend : ₹5000/- per month (paid on 3 months basis, 2 installments)
